Cleveland is rich in African American history. Hear the fascinating stories, like Gas mask inventor Garrett Morgan's brave rescue of two men trapped under Lake Erie. Our tour highlights local landmarks, and offers an on-site viewing of a major exhibit, Carl B. Stokes memorabilia collection at Karamu House.

These stories and many more come alive when you take a guided tour of the African American Heritage Trail, a unique tour of 16 interesting and important sites in Cleveland's past. The tour was researched and created by the Cleveland Chapter, National Association of Black Journalists.
